The solicitors PII market is benefitting from some new insurers for 2014 - and, in contrast to many previous years, these are primarily rated insurers.  This means that firms can benefit from a wider range of financially strong insurers - which will hopefully help counter any upward pressure on premium from the established insurers in the market.

It is important to remember that it may not be appropriate to market your insurance to all the participating insurers.  As reported in an earlier article, some insurers will not look at firms of fewer than 4 partners, while others may only consider firms with less than 25% conveyancing exposure.   Part of our role as a broker is to ensure that we are presenting you in the best possible way to the right markets.
