Alongside the recently launched SRA Discussion Paper on the regulation of small firms, the SRA has introduced a new web-page bringing together a range of resources for the smaller law firm.

It contains resources for helping practices looking to set up, including links to their New firm started pack, a summary of authorisation requirements, and a webinar on the process.

Become part of the SRA reference group on regulatory reform

There is also a link for those who would like to engage more directly with the SRA, to become part of their small firms or sole practioners 'virtual reference groups'.  The intention behind these is to help ensure that the SRA's current programme of regulatory reform properly considers the interests of smaller practices, following criticims that Outcomes Focussed Regulation has been unduly onerous for smaller firms.
