A record turn-out, and high level of engagement from delegates at our Information Security and Cloud Computing Risks Seminar earlier this year, confirmed our belief that these remain very live issues for many law firms.

Cloud computing solutions have proved very attractive options for firms who want to have up-to-date tailored software and database solutions, increased flexibility to meet changing needs, and perhaps equally importantly, a spread monthly cost rather than one large scale capital investment.

The SRA, amongst others, have begun to flag their concerns regarding the potential risks that cloud computing solutions can bring - particularly for the unaware purchaser.

Cloud Computing Solutions do of course bring with them certain risks - but many experts consider good quality cloud solutions as at worst risk-neutral, and at best, a significant improvement on many existing in-house systems.
